LEGO Harry Potter Great Hall gets biggest price drop yet

The race to discount the latest LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall is well and truly on, as the flagship summer 2024 set has dropped to its lowest price yet for the second week in a row.

Last week it was Amazon’s turn to slash the price on 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall, when the retailer pulled it down to £135.99 (or 20% off its RRP), but this week Zavvi has gone one better by offering the 1,732-piece set for just £131.99. You’ll also automatically qualify for free delivery (usually £1.99) with no code required for a limited time only.

That means the all-in price for 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall is a flat £131.99, or £38 off its regular retail price of £169.99. It’s the biggest discount we’ve seen so far for this June 2024 release, and makes it a much easier sell for even veteran LEGO Harry Potter fans who might already own a Great Hall or two.

That’s because this is the biggest and best version of the Great Hall the LEGO Group has ever committed to plastic at playset scale. It’s the cornerstone of what the company is calling its ‘most detailed Hogwarts ever’, and the set around which all others will likely be anchored in the years to come. Early examples include 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class and 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse, which both connect to the Great Hall.

And just as you did at £135.99 last week, you’re getting a lot here for an even better price this week (so, good news if you missed Amazon’s deal). 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall stands 40cm tall, 44cm wide and 21cm deep, includes 10 minifigures (seven of which are unique to this set), a Mountain Troll, five collectible portraits and two underground rooms that can slide out for easier access.

It’s easily one of the best LEGO Harry Potter playsets available right now and is an even easier recommendation at this price. There’s no way to know how long this deal will last though, so best apparate over to Zavvi as soon as possible to secure your copy just to be on the safe side. And if you do want to combine it with the Potions Class, well, that’s on sale right now too…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
