Upcoming LEGO Harry Potter microscale model’s minifigure worth the wait

The four-year wait for the exclusive minifigure included in an upcoming LEGO Harry Potter microscale model looks to have been worth it.

A new microscale LEGO Harry Potter set was recently officially revealed, with 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds scheduled for launch on September 1, 2023. The 2,660-piece build will be priced at £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99 and follows in the footsteps of the very similar 71043 Hogwarts Castle, which was released in 2018.

The upcoming 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds features such magical locations as the Main Tower, Astronomy Tower, Great Hall, Boathouse, Chamber of Secrets, The Winged Key room, Potions Classroom, Chessboard Chamber and more. In addition, brick-built versions of the Durmstrang Ship, Beauxbatons Carriage and Ford Anglia in the branches of the Whomping Willow are also included.

Despite being a microscale build, 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds does still come with one exclusive minifigure – a gold-coloured Hogwarts architect statue. A version of the character last appeared in 75964 Advent Calendar, although the festive 2019 set featured a much simpler iteration of the minifigure.

The architect statue included in the upcoming 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds now boasts a printed hat, head, torso and skirt pieces, as well as a new beard element. The model of Hogwarts that the minifigure is holding is also slightly-more detailed than the original and matches the updated gold colour scheme of the statue.

Fans of the Wizarding World will be able to check out the exclusive minifigure for themselves when 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds launches on September 1, 2023.

I have the original microscale castle and I get the Advent calendar every year. Getting some baseplates to make my own version of this as a display piece.
