Every LEGO Harry Potter set retiring in 2024 and beyond – January update
76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition is rolling off shelves for good in 2024, along with 17 other LEGO Harry Potter sets – including every current minifigure-scale Hogwarts module.
The LEGO Group is rebooting Hogwarts yet again in 2024, starting with 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse and 76430 Hogwarts Castle Owlery in March. More sections of the wizarding school are rumoured to follow in the summer, but those two mark the first departure from the boxy format that ran from 2021 to 2023, and was capped off with 76415 The Battle of Hogwarts.
Four of those sets, plus one from the original modular Hogwarts that ran from 2018 to 2020, are still available at the time of writing – but they’ll all be gone by the year’s end. 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets, 76402 Hogwarts: Dumbledore’s Office, 76413 Hogwarts: Room of Requirement and 76415 The Battle of Hogwarts are due to retire within the next 12 months, while 75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower is slated to leave production by the end of July.
Remaining on shelves into 2025, meanwhile, are all but two of this year’s new March releases, 76421 Dobby the House-Elf, and all of the theme’s current biggest sets – save for 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition, which is scheduled to retire in 2024. It will therefore be outlasted by three sets that came before it, including 2018’s 71043 Hogwarts Castle, suggesting the reception to the oversized train perhaps wasn’t what the LEGO Group had hoped for.
