LEGO Ideas 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei GWP officially revealed

An upcoming LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase has now been officially revealed in the shape of 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei.

A model that topped a STEM-themed LEGO Ideas contest all the way back in June 2022 has now been officially confirmed as an upcoming GWP. The Australian LEGO site has all the details on 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei, a 307-piece build listed as a future gift-with-purchase set with a price of $39.99 AUD.

The original version of the model was created by fan designer Firecracker_ and the completed 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei looks very similar to that winning vision. The LEGO Ideas build measures over 9cm high, 19cm wide and 10cm deep and includes a Galileo Galilei minifigure, plus all kinds of brick-built scientific devices.

40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei features a buildable telescope, rotating heliocentric model, table, chest of drawers, ’stone’ experiments, a map of Earth printed on a minifigure head piece and a stickered picture of the tower in Galileo’s hometown of Pisa. The GWP set also comes with a stickered nameplate to complete the scene, which sits on a black display base.

There’s currently no official word on when 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei will be available as a GWP or what the potential price point may be to obtain the set, but a recent rumour suggested it may be arriving on November 1.

With all of the current LEGO GWP promotions due to end on October 31, it’s possible we might see 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei popping up as soon as next week, but do bear in mind that’s pure speculation on our part for now.
