LEGO Ideas extends deadline for its latest Target challenge

The LEGO Ideas team has given you an extra couple of days to have your set become a Target exclusive.

Originally due to end on October 15, you now have until October 19 to enter the LEGO Ideas x Target STEM challenge. As the name suggests, the theme for the challenge is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths. All submissions need to celebrate at least one of those STEM topics but – but can feature references to several or even all four.

LEGO Ideas has more detailed rules, as well as some ideas for inspiration, over on the challenge page. We’d hazard a guess that, if the team has extended the deadline, they perhaps haven’t got as many submissions as they’d like, so if you’ve got a science-focused design on the go, it could well be worth entering it in the competition.

From October 20 until November 2, the LEGO Ideas experts will review all entries, before opening a shortlist of up to five entries up to a fan vote. The winner will be announced on March 1, 2024. If your set is selected, you’ll receive 1% of the total net sales of the product, then complimentary copies of your LEGO Ideas set,a nd credit and bio in set materials as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer. Good luck!

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
