LEGO Ideas fan vote opens for LEGO House display sets

It’s time to decide which LEGO set will go on display in the LEGO House, as the LEGO Ideas fan vote opens.

After LEGO Ideas asked for the public’s creations and designs for sets to go on display in the LEGO House in Billund, the shortlist has now been whittled down to 68 designs. These ideas were submitted across three themes: Vintage Transportation, All Seasons, and Celebrating Classics. There will be 25 winners across all three categories, which will now be decided by a fan vote.

The voting is open now via LEGO Ideas, running from today (August 23) until September 1. The winner will be announced on September 7, with one Grand Prize Winner for each category winning a special bundle that includes 21037 LEGO House, 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, 40503 Dagny Holm – Master Builder, 21340 Tales of the Space Age, and 21338 A-Frame Cabin. Two runners-up for each category will also receive the same bundle, except without 21338 A-Frame Cabin.

In Vintage Transportation, designs ranged from a colourful horse and cart embarking on an over-river journey to a LEGOLAND-themed, old-school bus, as well as much more.

Over in Celebrating Classics, there is a wide range of colourful classics, from detailed castles and treasure maps to more abstract builds, like the whales carrying cities through the waves (reminiscent of a star whale straight out of Doctor Who) and scenes captured in the iconic red brick, arguably the most recognisable LEGO element.

Finally, in All Seasons, every season is well-represented, from a gravity-defying Snowman to an autumnal woman pruning a tree while it changes from summer to autumn.

You have just over a week to continue casting your votes for the fan designs and all you need is a free LEGO Ideas account.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
