LEGO Ideas Overpass Park delivers urban living to 10K supporters

The latest LEGO Ideas submission to reach the 10,000 supporters mark is Overpass Park, an impressive brick-built slice of urban life.

The third LEGO Ideas review of 2024 is currently open for submissions, with seven fan-made models already vying for the judges’ attention. Each of those brick-built creations has received a big thumbs-up from 10,000 supporters, meaning they’re one step closer to becoming future physical LEGO sets.

That growing list now welcomes yet another new LEGO Ideas submission in the shape of Overpass Park from designer terauma. The model was built and rendered using Stud.io, is constructed from under 1,900 parts and measures 32×48 studs.

Overpass Park represents a detailed slice of urban life, complete with a bustling freeway at the top, plus a skatepark and café nestled below. Speeding on the busy road are a delivery truck, car and motorcycle, with street lamps and signage acting as finishing touches.

The model’s skatepark boasts colourful graffiti on the freeway’s large pillars, along with various ramps for pulling tricks and a selection of skateboarding minifigures. Rounding out Overpass Park is the small café, a two-storey build complete with tables and chairs inside, plus an exterior serving hatch.

In addition, images of Overpass Park show that two or more of the same fan-designed models can be displayed next to each other, increasing the size and scope of the city scene.

We’ll find out for sure if Overpass Park has won the approval of the LEGO Ideas judges when the results of the third review of 2024 are finally revealed.
