LEGO Ideas Pick a Brick addition is good news for Harry Potter

The latest upcoming additions to Pick a Brick include a LEGO Ideas piece that is going to be good news for Harry Potter collectors on a budget.

Nearly 100 new pieces are being added to Pick a Brick tomorrow including pieces from 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale. One unique element has caught our attention as a beneficial element for LEGO Harry Potter enthusiasts who are new to the theme or on a budget.

In the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set, a skeleton wears a wide cape with a purple interior and an iridescent exterior. It’s coming to Pick a Brick tomorrow and it might remind you of an important accessory in Harry Potter

While it doesn’t cover the entire body or feature the same intricate pattern inside, this cape could be a good stand-in for an Invisibility Cloak within LEGO Harry Potter

In the modern era of the theme, the cloak has only been featured in the retired 71022 Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts minifigure series and the still-available 76402 Hogwarts: Dumbledore’s Office for £79.99 / $79.99 / €89.99.

The LEGO Ideas cape is unlikely to be quite that expensive on Pick a Brick and could be a useful addition to a larger order as a budget-friendly alternative to the LEGO Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak.

The next update to Pick a Brick should arrive tomorrow but be aware that there are often delays for new additions to the service. Hopefully, it will be up promptly tomorrow. You can take a closer look at the cape by clicking here to head to our review of the LEGO Ideas set.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
