LEGO Ideas reveals winners of 15 Years celebration contest

The winners of the LEGO Ideas 15 Years celebration contest have now been announced and their successful designs revealed.

Last month, the LEGO Ideas team announced what would be its final contest of 2023, celebrating 15 Years of LEGO Ideas. Launched in 2011 and originally called CUUSOO, LEGO Ideas has evolved to become one the LEGO Group’s most exciting product lines, constantly surprising and delighting fans with innovative new releases.

For the contest, the LEGO Ideas team challenged builders to create their own models to mark the occasion, with the main stipulation being that the number ‘15’ had to be included somewhere on it. With the competition having recently closed, and following a fan vote, the LEGO Ideas team has been busy sifting through all of the entries and the winners have finally been announced.

The Grand Prize Winner has been revealed as BrickAbe, with Celebrating in a LEGO Designer Dream Workspace suitably impressing the judges. The successful model is packed with plenty of detail such as a cake with 15 candles, golden balloons, a brick-built dog and more. BrickAbe walks away with a trip to Billund, Denmark, a tour of the LEGO House, 15 different LEGO Ideas sets and a custom LEGO Trophy.

The LEGO Ideas 15 Years contest has also spawned two runners-up, with Martin_Studio’s 15 Years of Fulfilling Dreams and Discovering New Ideas from George Brickman also proving to be popular choices.

The results of the first LEGO Ideas review of 2023 were recently announced, with 69 projects rejected in favour of Twilight: Cullen House and The Botanical Garden. The winning models join six other LEGO Ideas sets that are currently in production.
