LEGO Ideas x Target challenge prepares to enter fan vote stage

With initial intake for the LEGO Ideas x Target STEM challenge now closed, the contest is preparing to enter its fan vote stage.

The LEGO Ideas team recently extended the deadline for its Target STEM challenge, allowing for additional time for submissions to be received. That cut-off point has now been reached and a post on the LEGO Ideas blog states that the contest will be moving on to a two-part judging phase.

Originally scheduled to end on October 15, the latest LEGO Ideas x Target challenge is based around and celebrates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths), with a request to create a model that reflects those topics. One successful winning entrant will ultimately be crowned the next LEGO Ideas Fan Designer, with their submission becoming a physical LEGO Ideas x Target set, available on store shelves at some point in the future.

There’s an impressive prize pack up for grabs for the challenge, including 1% of the total net sales of the finished product and 10 complimentary copies of the LEGO Ideas x Target model, plus a credit and bio in the set’s materials as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer.

Five submissions will now be chosen by a review panel of judges, before a fan vote is then opened up from November 2 to November 2023. Following that stage, the successful winner will be announced and their design unveiled no later than March 1, 2024.

If you did miss out on the LEGO Ideas x Target challenge, there’s still time to enter a LEGO Harry Potter-themed contest and design your own custom Patronus. There are plenty of magical prizes to be had, including copies of 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition, 76405 Hogwarts Express – Collectors’ Edition, 76414 Expecto Patronum and 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds.
