LEGO Insects fan designer signing events announced
Meet the Spanish fan designer of LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection José María at three signing events.
LEGO YouTuber José María successfully saw his design for an insect-themed LEGO set not only make it past 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas but go on to become a fully-fledged LEGO set, arriving for general release on September 7. To celebrate the reveal, María has shown off the final version of the set in a peaceful building video on his YouTube channel, revealing three dates for signing events that he will be attending at the same time.
These will all take place in Spain, where María is based, including Barcelona on September 9 between 10am and 12pm, Madrid on September 10 from 11am to 1pm, and Seville on September 16 from 11am to 1pm. Presumably, these will be taking place in the LEGO stores of the respective cities.
María has stated he will be signing boxes for those who attend, so if you’re planning to buy LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection and can get to those stores, it might be a smart idea to wait and purchase there to add an extra memorable flair to your box, as well as be able to chat to the mind behind the original idea for the LEGO Ideas set.
LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection will be available to buy from September 7, retailing for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99.

Cool news, thank you! But please, correct the designer’s name, it’s “José María”, as mentioned the first time, it’s a compound boy’s name, and “Maria” it’s a girl’s name 😉 .
