LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree caters to fans of all ages

LEGO The Legend of Zelda 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 embraces a feature from a child-friendly theme to cater to Zelda fans of all ages.

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets have long since featured builds that tend to appeal to younger builders but in recent months have begun to garner wider interest. Sets like 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox, 31120 Medieval Castle, and June 1 release 31153 Modern House in particular have proven to appeal to older builders too.

The designers of the newly-revealed 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 have perhaps embraced the versatility of the theme to cater to a wider range of Zelda fans. As a franchise that’s been running since 1986 up until the most recent release just last year, there are people of different ages and generations who might want to build a little piece of Zelda in their home.

To capture everyone’s attention, you can build 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 in two different versions, as seen in either 1998’s Ocarina of Time or 2017’s Breath of the Wild. Both versions have posable facial features and accessible panels on the sides for play possibilities.

It’s also worth noting that, regardless of which version you choose to build, you will still be able to build both the Master Sword pedestal and Link’s House as smaller models.

While it’s undoubtedly a fun feature to give 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 wider appeal, it has also drawn some criticism from fans who blame the duality of the model for the high price-per-piece ratio.

You can pre-order 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 right now for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 on the official online store ahead of its release on September 1. Plus, take a closer look at the build here.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
