This summer’s headline LEGO Marvel Age of Ultron set is down to its lowest-ever price at Zavvi, and there are plenty of reasons to jump on this deal.

76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron debuted back in August alongside a bumper wave of LEGO Marvel sets, coming in as a sort-of diorama with a black base, recreating the opening scene of the first Avengers sequel. Or more specifically, that one shot of all the heroes leaping through the air as they take down the snowy Hydra base, which looks like it comes straight from the pages of the comics.

The 613-piece set is down to its best price yet at Zavvi at the moment, so here are three reasons you should be bumping this set straight to the top of your September shopping list.

3 – It’s the best playset in the LEGO Marvel summer wave

The LEGO Marvel summer 2024 wave has some gems in it, not least 76286 The Milano Spaceship. But if you’re looking for a playset specifically, you really won’t do better than this: it’s geared around both play and display, includes a hefty nine minifigures in the box, takes advantage of the new transparent bar elements to recreate one of the coolest shots from the Infinity Saga, and is even modular, so you can reconfigure it to suit your display space.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might have (eventually) moved on from Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor and Hulk – at least as a cohort – but you can relive the glory days in one go with 76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron.
