LEGO Marvel designer takes the stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2024

San Diego Comic-Con 2024 is almost over but before it ends, LEGO Marvel designers took to the stage to share insight into how sets are made.

LEGO Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con presence didn’t just include showcasing some sets and a few giant models, but LEGO Marvel and DC creative lead Jesper C. Nielsen and director of hardlines at Marvel, Jesse Falcon had a few things to share as well.

The pair took the stage during the event and thankfully, the Marvel Entertainment YouTube team have shared some of their time on the stage with those not lucky enough to attend San Diego Comic-Con.

While much of the LEGO set design process is known, it’s interesting to hear about the cycle from a Marvel-specific perspective.

One of the most notable discussed topics is that there was another fully-developed model for Ant-Man and the Wasp that was swapped out for 76109 Quantum Realm Explorers, likely after an update to the movie.

A video of the LEGO Marvel experience at the booth has also been shared, showcasing the giant models on display and some brick-built Wolverine claws.

There’s not long left to take in the experience for those in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 after Marvel’s massive slate of reveals last night.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
