Every LEGO Marvel set retiring in 2024 and beyond – December update

The LEGO Group has pushed back the retirement of seven different LEGO Marvel sets, including some of the theme’s biggest and best models to date.

A total of 21 different LEGO Marvel sets are leaving shelves in 2023 (and indeed many already have), while a further 23 are currently destined to depart in 2024. That will leave only 10 sets from the current range on shelves in 2025, alongside 76285 Spider-Man’s Mask and (presumably) whatever else comes our way next year. Among those staying the course are 76178 Daily Bugle, 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum and 76269 Avengers Tower.

Given all three of those sets are compatible through the lens of the LEGO Group’s modular buildings, it’s no surprise to see them have real staying power on shelves. They’ve also arrived in consecutive years, which establishes a solid pattern of release, and means the safe money is on another model joining them in 2024. Keeping the rest on shelves in that scenario would make a lot of sense.

Elsewhere, 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle, 76223 Nano Gauntlet, 76250 Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws and 4+ set 10782 Hulk vs. Rhino Truck Showdown have also been pushed back from a 2024 retirement to 2025, so you’ve got plenty of time to pick those up. For now, anyway: these dates are, as always, subject to change. Check out the full list of LEGO sets retiring in 2023 and beyond, or scroll down for a closer look at the superhero slate.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
