LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin #4 cover and plot revealed

The LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin comics have been delayed but as the release of the first issue nears, details for the fourth have been revealed.

The first details for LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin issue 4 have been revealed in Bleeding Cool’s latest comic update. This includes the cover and the plot synopsis, in case you want to avoid spoilers ahead of the first issue later this month.

LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin is a series of comics that tell a canon story from Garmadon’s past as he ventures beyond his home realm to discover the secret to winning the Serpentine War, tying into the current story of Dragons Rising.

The plot of the fourth issue will revolve around a young Garmadon and his new students dealing with the fallout of their first mission as a new danger is revealed that is greater than that of the Lycan King.

The cover features these students as well as what appears to be our first look at the wolf-like Lycan King. They bear a resemblance to Ras and we’re still waiting to learn more about his master too. Another figure is visible behind them, who may be the greater danger teased in the synopsis.

Listings at comic retailer Image Comics have confirmed that LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin has been delayed by a couple of months, affecting all issues. This now means that the first issue launches four days from the time of writing on July 24. From then, there will be one issue per month with the last likely arriving in November.
