LEGO Pixar BrickToons Cars clip revealed

As we near the release day for the LEGO Pixar BrickToons shorts, a bite-sized clip for the Cars episode has confirmed some big returning voices.

Promotion continues for the upcoming LEGO Pixar BrickToons shorts as a clip of the cars episode has now been released on Pixar’s X account. Whether this will be followed by similar clips for the Brave, Finding Nemo, Incredibles and Coco episodes is unknown at the time of writing.

The short clip features Lightning McQueen racing around Willy’s Butte as Mater cheers him on in a surprising fashion. The full trailer for the LEGO Pixar BrickToons also includes a more refined race track, suggesting that there’s a lot more of this short to see.

Listen closely to the clip as it appears to confirm an important fact for the Cars short and potentially the other four BrickToons.

Unless these are convincing soundalikes, Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy are back as Lightning McQueen and Mater respectively. It’s a promising sign for the other shorts, which are based on Coco, The Incredibles, Brave and Finding Nemo.

The LEGO Pixar BrickToons are to be released on Disney+ on September 4 and you can watch a trailer for them by clicking here. The figures featured in this set are not currently available as the last System Cars sets were available in 2018.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
