New LEGO Pixar BrickToons officially revealed

The upcoming LEGO Pixar BrickToons have finally been officially announced after an initial reveal at D23, confirming a release date and more.

Five LEGO Pixar shorts, named BrickToons are officially coming to Disney+ on September 4, featuring brick-built recreations of Coco, The Incredibles, Brave, Cars and Finding Nemo. You might remember that a panel for these shorts was hosted at D23 earlier this month but now, we have official details

Title cards for four shorts have been revealed – Coco’s Family Bands Together, The Incredibles’ Pizza Night, Brave’s Patience is a Bear and Cars’ Trust Yer’ Ol Pal Mater. We know that there’s a fifth for Finding Nemo too, but its title card has yet to be revealed.

The new LEGO Pixar BrickToons will feature many recognisable characters including Marlin, Merida, Dash, Lightning McQueen and Miguel but there will certainly be many more characters in the shorts. The length of the shorts has yet to be confirmed but there’s only a couple of weeks until we’ll be able to watch them at least.

The previous look at the shorts at D23 revealed plenty of details, but we won’t spoil anything in this report. Click here to find out much more though. As a tease, they make good on a long-running Easter egg missing from many LEGO Pixar sets.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
