New LEGO Friends River Camping Adventure gift-with-purchase available now

A brand new LEGO Friends gift-with-purchase is now available with qualifying orders on select themes online and in-store.

40694 River Camping Adventure can be yours when spending at least £80 / $90 / €90 on LEGO Friends, Animal Crossing, City, DREAMZzz and/or NINJAGO sets at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. It’s available until September 23, or while stocks last, and serves up a pretty substantial gift-with-purchase for a surprisingly low threshold.

The 182-piece model includes Nova and Paisley mini-dolls, along with a beaver, tent, tree, campfire, cooking stove (or at least that’s presumably what the cauldron is intended to represent, unless Nova and Paisley have taken up witchcraft in the woods) and a small section of what can very generously be called a river.

The set’s younger target audience is probably one explanation for its comparatively low required spend, but either way, it’s a good excuse to pull the trigger on any in-house LEGO sets from the relevant themes that are currently on your wishlist. If you’re looking for something to get you to the threshold but don’t know what to buy, consider any of the sets retiring in the next few months.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
