LEGO Spidey and His Amazing Friends 2024 sets revealed
Three new LEGO Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets are on the way in 2024, bringing with them a couple of key firsts for LEGO Marvel.
Among this new line-up of sets aimed at younger builders are the first-ever Arnim Zola minifigure and the first-ever moulded mask for a comic book-style Electro. Alas, they’re both designed in such a way that we’ll probably never see them re-used outside of this niche subtheme, and Electro’s mask in particular is affixed to a hairpiece that renders it essentially unusable for a regular version of the character.
There may be a few other elements in here to tempt older fans – gold webbing, the Spider-crew’s new head prints – but otherwise these are firmly for the younger LEGO fans in your life. Check out all three new sets revealed by German retailer JB Spielwaren below.
10792 Drill Spinner Vehicle
Price: €9.99 Pieces: 58 Release date: March 1, 2024
If you do fancy getting your hands on the new LEGO Electro 2024 minifigure, you can at least do so without breaking the bank: she pops up in 10792 Drill Spinner Vehicle, which will retail for just €9.99 in Europe. The 58-piece set also includes Miles Morales, a car with a massive drill slapped on the front – maybe he’s cosplaying LEGO Rock Raiders? – and a traffic light.
10793 Spidey vs. Green Goblin
Price: €19.99 Pieces: 84 Release date: March 1, 2024
Probably the least interesting LEGO Spidey and His Amazing Friends 2024 set for minifigure collectors, 10793 Spidey vs. Green Goblin revisits three previous characters – but at least refreshes them in line with the show. Spider-Man has new gold eyes, Ghost Spider gets Man-Bat-like wings, and Green Goblin… erm… is Green Goblin. This model also includes a couple of vehicles and a tiny TRACE-E bot.
10794 Team Spidey Web Spinner Headquarters
Price: €54.99 Pieces: 193 Release date: January 1, 2024
The biggest set of this wave gives us another crack at the web-slingers’ HQ, this time with a giant Spidey dome on top. Iron Man makes a guest appearance as Spider-Man embiggens his circle of amazing friends, but the star of the show is Zola, who gets a complete – and brand new – minifigure along with a giant mech suit. There’s plenty of play potential in this one for younger builders.
