LEGO shares round-up of LEGO Star Wars 25-second film festival shorts

Now that the LEGO Star Wars 25-second film festival is over, the LEGO Group is sharing more of the impressive entries, made by fans.

Ranging from shot-for-shot recreations of scenes from Star Wars to creative renditions of brick-built ships taking flight, LEGO Star Wars fans have really flexed their creative muscles for the 25-second film festival. Held in honour of the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, entrants also got early access to some LEGO Star Wars-themed Insider rewards, now available for all in most regions.

Another notable entry (among many) comes from Leonardo Javier Loza Woolrich, showcasing various iconic fights from the franchise through stop-motion, with smooth cuts as the Jedi and the Sith switch out throughout the video. Starting with Qui-Gon Jinn versus Darth Maul, this progresses to Vader versus Kenobi, then to Vader versus Luke, and onto Rey versus Kylo Ren. At the end of the 25-second clip, we get a rapid-fire sequence of various iconic characters, depicted in both classic and modern minifigures.

Check out all the flights and fights 25-second films selected by the LEGO Group in the compilation video below, or head straight over to the official LEGO YouTube channel. Plus, see more of the entries here.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
