Eight LEGO Star Wars, Marvel and more sets to prepare for LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite’s physical minifigures include nine original outfits, but you can easily expand on them with many other sets.

Only one of the four LEGO Fortnite sets includes minifigures – 77073 Battle Bus – and understandably, they’re limited to Fortnite original outfits. There are some licensed LEGO Styles within Fortnite too though, some of which have minifigures in currently available LEGO sets.

From LEGO Star Wars to Indiana Jones, here are eight great LEGO sets to prepare for the LEGO Fortnite models’ release on October 1. Be warned that this report features spoilers for the 2024 LEGO Spider-Man Advent Calendar, but nothing that hasn’t been officially revealed.

21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas

LEGO Ideas 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas, as you might expect, includes a minifigure of Jack Skellington. LEGO Fortnite has a LEGO Style for Jack Skellington based on his first minifigure, but the new LEGO Ideas outfit will do the trick with some shorter legs. Technically, this set won’t be released until September 1 for LEGO Insiders or September 4 widely, but that’s still far in advance of the Fortnite sets’ release.

76281 X-Men X-Jet

76281 X-Men X-Jet features four minifigures, three of which are also in LEGO Fortnite. Cyclops, Wolverine and Rogue are nearly the same as their in-game LEGO Styles, but Magneto is unfortunately quite different to his recent Battle Pass outfit

75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack

LEGO Star Wars 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack is one of the most inexpensive sets to feature the 501st Clone Troopers. They’re not only good for army-building but they’re also a LEGO Style in Fortnite.

76290 The Avengers vs. The Leviathan

LEGO Marvel 76290 The Avengers vs. The Leviathan includes minifigures of Captain America and Loki, both of whom have LEGO Styles with these specific outfits in Fortnite. Black Widow and Hulk don’t work quite as well though.

75363 The Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter Microfighter

75363 The Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter Microfighter is one of a couple of good Microfighters to pick up ready for LEGO Fortnite’s sets. We’ve singled out 75363 The Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter Microfighter over 75344 Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter though for its inclusion of Din Djarin for his LEGO Style as well as Grogu for the recent Back Bling

76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar

The annual range of LEGO Advent calendars for Star Wars and Marvel have some good fits for LEGO Fortnite. 76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar specifically includes three matching minifigures – Ghost-Spider, Green Goblin and Spider-Man. Miles Morales’ festive minifigure isn’t a good fit for LEGO Fortnite’s sets but rumour has it that one next year will work much better.

77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb

Indiana Jones has a LEGO Style in Fortnite that doesn’t match perfectly with his minifigure in 77012 Fighter Plane Chase. Instead, 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb is your best bet for a minifigure to go with the LEGO Fortnite sets thanks to his lack of a tie. This set is also scheduled to retire at the end of 2024.

75387 Boarding the Tantive IV

75387 Boarding the Tantive IV is one of the most useful LEGO sets for LEGO Fortnite thanks to the Star Wars crossover the mode received earlier this year. As well as the Darth Vader and Stormtrooper minifigures matching their corresponding LEGO Styles, the Rebel Fleet Troopers can be found in the LEGO Fortnite mode as part of the Star Wars update.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
