More LEGO Star Wars: Rebels sets that need a remake

Hot on the heels of Ahsoka’s release, 75357 Ghost & Phantom II remakes a LEGO Star Wars: Rebels set with more that need the same treatment.

On September 1, 2023, 75357 Ghost & Phantom II reimagines 75053 The Ghost (as well as 75170 The Phantom) a week after Ahsoka, on which it is based starts streaming.

While we wait for the arrival of Ahsoka a few hours from the time of writing, and to see what other references to Star Wars: Rebels there are, there are some older Star Wars: Rebels models that could do with a remake of their own in the future. However, some may be easier to integrate into the theme than others.

75106 Imperial Assault Carrier

Price: £99.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,216 Release year: 2015

After featuring in The Mandalorian Season 2, 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier may have a better chance than most Star Wars: Rebels sets and it would be great to see the concept of miniature TIE Fighters attached to a larger, minifigure-compatible model once more.

75084 Wookiee Gunship

Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 570 Release year: 2015

Following the uniquely-coloured 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship on September 1, we’d like to see the Wookie Gunship from 2015 get another set, despite the fact that it doesn’t commonly appear in Star Wars media.

75157 Captain Rex’s AT-TE

Price: £109.99 / $119.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 972 Release year: 2016

As 75337 AT-TE Walker is still available, further into the future the AT-TE-turned-homestead from Star Wars: Rebels offers a different take on the classic vehicle, as we last saw in 2016. However, this model seems even less eligible than 75084 Wookiee Gunship for a remake given its especially specific source material – a couple of episodes from Star Wars: Rebels.

75158 Rebel Combat Frigate

Price: £109.99 / $109.99 / €119.99 Pieces: 936 Release year: 2016

The Rebel Combat Frigate represents a type of ship we don’t see often in LEGO Star Wars outside the Tantive IV. Now with rumours of a new LEGO Tantive IV in 2024, a remake of this model isn’t looking likely unless it stars as the home of a quirky cast of characters in another Star Wars series.

75150 Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-wing Starfighter

Price: £79.99 / $89.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 702 Release year: 2016

It’s been seven years since the last full-sized LEGO TIE Advanced in 75150 Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-wing Starfighter so it’s about time for another version of ship in any case, whether it’s part of a Star Wars: Rebels LEGO remake or not.

I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
