The LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection gives us hope for one prequel set

The current and rumoured trajectory of the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection gives us hope for a long-awaited recreation of a prequel ship.

Earlier this year, the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection added 75377 Invisible Hand from the prequel trilogy, marking the first ship in the range based on the prequels. Now, early rumours for the theme in 2025 include one from brick_clicker featuring 75404 Midiscale Acclamator.

Provided this rumour is accurate, that would be two prequel trilogy ships in the collection already and the Acclamator is arguably somewhat more niche than the Invisible Hand since it didn’t crash into Coruscant as the Invisible Hand did.

While all rumoured information should be taken with appropriate caution, it’s an exciting prospect that might offer some hope for finally getting a model of a certain prequel trilogy ship.

The size and shape of the Droid Control Ship aren’t too outlandish for the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection, especially given the design and footprint of 75375 Millennium Falcon and its unique appearance could make for an involved build, as demonstrated by a custom design from BossieX13.

The LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection has only been confirmed to include one prequel trilogy ship so far but should the rumours of an Acclamator model be accurate, there might be hope yet for a build of the unique warship one day. That said, the Venator may be the more obvious pick despite the recent Ultimate Collector Series set, which is currently due to retire next year.

The rumours suggest that in January next year, the collection will feature six ships and that prequel-era models will make up one-third of that. For comparison, the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection only features two prequel-era builds of 11 sets. It’s at least a stronger start for the prequels in the Starship Collection as long as the rumours are true.

In the meantime, 75377 Invisible Hand is available now and here’s what’s currently rumoured for LEGO Star Wars in 2025, of which nothing has been officially confirmed.
