The LEGO Group teases new Dreamzzz theme with a brand new trailer
The LEGO Group has teased a potential Dreamzzz trailer online, using NINJAGO characters to promote the new theme.
The trailer was released on the official LEGO Japan Twitter account, complete with a link at the end to follow. The caption roughly translates to ‘A dream world that you have never seen before is coming!’ and accessing the link directs you to a countdown on the kids section of the LEGO website.
We’ve already heard about the potential huge wave of sets that the rumoured new Dreamzzz LEGO theme will generate, and now with the visuals of the bunny, dragon, crocodile and robot, it’s easier to start picturing what the new sets could bring.
Comments left on the post have questioned the decision behind using LEGO NINJAGO to promote a whole new theme, and while it does seem somewhat of a strange choice the link could be through the fantasy thematic element. Either way, it seems that we know have something recognisable to link the trailer to, rather than going straight into completely new territory.
From what we know so far, Dreamzzz looks like it’s shaping up to be an ambitious new theme, with a whole new cast of characters and sets that add a whole new level of creativity onto what the existing LEGO catalogue already has to offer. With substantially clear evidence that the theme will cross over from sets to toys and merchandise, it’s likely that we’re going to get more official news and teasers in the months to come.
It seems that we’ll have to wait 28 more days to find out any more about the new Dreamzzz theme, and whether there’s a more substantial link between Dreamzzz and NINJAGO, but until then there’s plenty of other new content for us to get into, particularly with NINJAGO Dragons Rising.
