LEGO Icons might be debuting its largest brick-built The Lord of the Rings creature to date in 2027, if the latest rumours are to be believed.
Following yesterday’s LEGO Star Wars rumours, we now have our first hints as to where LEGO Icons could potentially be headed in early 2027. Those wondering what’s next for the theme’s The Lord of the Rings releases may be surprised to discover that instead of yet another familiar Middle-earth location, it’s a brick-built creature that might be joining the collection in the months to come.
BrickTap on Reddit is reporting that 11395 Oliphaunt is due to arrive on January 1, 2027, coming in at a mighty 2,017 pieces, which would match the same number of elements to be found in last year’s 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire, although there are no price details so far.

Also known as Mûmakil, the four-tusked elephant-like beasts made a brief appearance in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, before being fully-unleashed during the epic Battle of the Pelennor Fields and ridden by the Haradrim in The Lord of the Rings: Return of the Kings.
Additional details on 11395 Oliphaunt are a little thin on the ground at this stage, but it would certainly make sense to at least include a minifigure of Legolas in such a rumoured LEGO Icons set, considering that the Sindar Elf singlehandedly brought down one of the creatures in the third film of the Middle-earth trilogy.

If 11395 Oliphaunt does indeed prove to be a reality, it could potentially open the door for even more massive brick-built LEGO The Lord of the Rings beasts, such as a bigger Balrog, Cave-Trolls, Ents and even Shelob, but all of that remains pure speculation on our part for now.
As usual, do treat this latest LEGO Icons rumour with caution, until we receive any official confirmation regarding such a build.
