LEGO Transformers 10338 Bumblebee tutorials and more are out now

The second LEGO Transformers set is out now and the LEGO Group has released detailed guides on how to transform 10338 Bumblebee.

Much like 10302 Optimus Prime, it’s entirely possible to transform 10338 Bumblebee between his robot and alt modes without rebuilding the entirety of the model. While instructions are provided in the base set on how to undergo this process, the LEGO Group has released more detailed guides on YouTube.

The instructions detail how to transform Bumblee from robot to car and back to robot mode complete with some insight from Optimus Prime.

LEGO designer Samuel Liltorp Johnson is the star of these new videos, which are linked via a QR code in the set’s physical and online instructions too. Notably, the QR code links to a landing page featuring the videos and more resources.

One of these resources is the free guide for the retro display stand that we recently reported on, meaning you don’t need to pick up a new copy of the model to make it. The page does check for a LEGO Insiders account before allowing access, but it’s free to sign up for the rewards program and it would be worthwhile to do so ahead of next week.

10338 Bumblebee and 10302 Optimus Prime are both available now online and in stores as part of the Transformers series in LEGO Icons.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
