Better look at LEGO Harry Potter 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition

An official LEGO Instagram account has shared an early look at this year’s flagship LEGO Harry Potter set, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition.

We’re still waiting for an official reveal of the 2024 Wizarding World direct-to-consumer set, which was initially teased by a LEGO Certified Store earlier this month, but the official LEGO House Instagram account has apparently jumped the gun while promoting a signing event. Jay’s Brick Blog reports that the post was live around 9:45am UK time today, but it’s since been taken down.

The post specifically advertised a meet and greet with LEGO Harry Potter designers George Gilliatt, Santiago Carillo and Peter Kjærgaard at the LEGO House on September 5 (from 3-5pm local time), and was accompanied by a picture of George holding a boxed copy of 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition. The image gives us our best look yet at the 2,405-piece rendition of the Weasleys’ home.

A total of 10 minifigures are visible on the front of the box, including Harry and presumably the entire Weasley clan: Ron, Fred, George, Arthur, Molly, Ginny, Percy, Bill and even Charlie, who only appeared in the books but was cut from the movies. That would represent a rare instance of the LEGO Group taking its cues from the Harry Potter novels rather than the films.

We’ll hopefully find out more about 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition very soon, as the timing of the signing event suggests that – like previous LEGO Harry Potter exclusives such as 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition and 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition – we’re looking at a September 1 release date.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
