Manchester Pride attendee shares instructions for free LEGO Pride flag
A good online Samaritan’s actions mean anyone can build themselves a LEGO Pride flag – following a successful Pick a Brick order.
LEGO stores have often been known to host Make & Take events for brick-built Pride flags when their cities host Pride events and Manchester carried on the tradition as the city celebrated LGBTQ+ people last weekend. While the compact flags are free to those who can pick them up in person, it’s now also possible for you to build your own, thanks to SkylandersKirby on reddit who shared the instructions online.
Although you’ll need to order the parts for yourself, this does mean you can recreate the rainbow flag for yourself. As other commenters point out, you could also pretty easily adapt it to suit whatever LGBTQ+ flag you’d like to build.
The full parts list is summarised in the final picture above, making your Pick a Brick order that much easier. To do so, you’ll just need to head to the LEGO Group’s online Pick a Brick service, type in the piece number (the long numbers starting with three, four, or six, above) and order them in the quantity specified.
The end result is a blocky flag sitting on a black circular base. The build is made up of 65 pieces in total so shouldn’t be too expensive on Pick a Brick.
