Micro LEGO NINJAGO City could cost nearly as much as the big sets

Four new micro LEGO NINJAGO City sets could cost nearly as much as their massive counterparts, provided they’re offered as gifts-with-purchase.

A new collection of LEGO NINJAGO sets has been revealed as confirmed in images shared by Instagram user Dylan Chow. This range depicts NINJAGO City but on a smaller scale than you might be used to. How they will be made available has not been officially confirmed, though we’d note that four modular models were released in 2023 – the Houses of the World gifts-with-purchase.

Provided these four sets are offered similarly to the Houses of the World gifts, they could have a threshold of £220 / $250 / €250 each. To get all four, you would need to spend at least £880 / $1000 / €1000 on LEGO sets (in four £220 / $250 / €250 chunks).

That’s almost as expensive as picking up all four sets at their RRP. 70620 NINJAGO City, 70657 NINJAGO City docks, 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens and 71799 NINJAGO City Markets combined costs £1,079.96 / $1,249.96 / €1,249.96. Comparatively, that’s fairly close considering the size of the NINJAGO City sets.

While picking up four gifts-with-purchase would net you a considerable amount of LEGO sets on top of the miniature NINJAGO City models, it’s interesting to see that the smaller city could cost nearly as much as its much larger counterpart. That’s only as long as they’re offered as gifts-with-purchase at the same threshold as the Houses of the World.

At the time of writing, nothing has been officially confirmed regarding 40703 Micro NINJAGO City, 40704, 40705 and 40706. Despite similarities to the Houses of the World GWPs, they could be offered in an entirely different way.

We might know what the rest of the collection looks like though thanks to their silhouetted images and some creative custom models.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
