The perfect minifigures for LEGO Harry Potter’s rumoured mandrake

The rumoured LEGO Harry Potter Mandrake could offer a chance to bring a pair or rare and retired minifigures back to the theme.

Rumours of a unique LEGO Harry Potter set for summer 2024 state that 76433 Buildable Mandrake could be on the way for $64.99 with 579 pieces in summer 2024.

This comes by way of exabrickslegogo_ and at first thought, it might sound unlike any LEGO model before it. However, the theme has recently delved into more affordable figures following 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition.

In 2023, this has included 76414 Expecto Patronum and 76421 Dobby the House-Elf, the former of which included two minifigures relevant to the figure. While nothing has been officially confirmed, there are two minifigures that would be perfect for a large Mandrake model.

Professor Sprout and Neville Longbottom have most recently been included in the retired 76384 Hogwarts Moment: Herbology Class and were key characters in the introduction to Herbology in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

The characters in these outfits are rare as minifigures. Professor Sprout only otherwise appears in the retired second series of LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures and Neville in the tan uniform is only featured in the retired first series.

A buildable Mandrake in a similar style to 76414 Expecto Patronum could offer an opportunity to introduce these minifigures again and it could allow it to pair better with the current set too.

As with all rumours, 76433 Buildable Mandrake is only a rumour at this time and should be taken with adequate caution until officially confirmed otherwise.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
