More details on rumoured LEGO NINJAGO 2025 sets

More details on the rumoured LEGO NINJAGO 2025 sets have surfaced online, including a description of the villains for next year’s Dragons Rising range.

An initial list of LEGO NINJAGO 2025 set numbers and a handful of set names emerged back in July from Instagram user fateful_lego, and now the same source is back with fresh product names, brief descriptions of set contents, release dates and more. A total of 24 NINJAGO sets are currently rumoured to be on the way next year, split between January, March and June.

We previously only had product numbers for 71832 and 71836, but both of those sets – thought to be releasing in March 2025 – now have tentative product names. 71832 Storm Dragon is rumoured to include a large villain storm dragon decked out in red and dark purple, while 71836 Arc Dragon of Focus will reportedly consist of a two-headed dragon designed to duel with 71832.

Fateful_lego has also shared product descriptions and minifigure line-ups for three rumoured January 2025 sets. 71827 Zane’s Battle Suit Mech is said to resemble 71805 Jay’s Mech Battle Pack in design, only with a pair of swords, and will apparently include three minifigures: Zane, Wyldfyre and one member of the Forbidden Five, the villains from Dragons Rising Season 2.

71828 Lloyd’s Pull-Back Race Car, meanwhile, is thought to include a pull-back motor (borrowed from similar LEGO Technic sets), an obstacle course for the car to traverse and two as-yet-unidentified minifigures. Finally, 71829 Lloyd’s Forest Dragon is rumoured to consist of a small green dragon with articulated wings (no prizes for guessing that much) and two minifigures.

The Forbidden Five will reportedly be joined by the Dragonians in the LEGO NINJAGO 2025 sets, and fateful_lego has pointedly used an image of the dragon headpiece originally designed for LEGO VIDIYO – and now available in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons and 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale – to illustrate their post, suggesting we could see it pop up again in NINJAGO’s 2025 range.

The Dragonians will apparently be blue and red with blue wings on their backs. We’ve already seen the dragon head in both of those colours, but there’s always a chance it could debut in different shades – or we could get a brand new piece entirely. For now, take this rumour with the customary grain of salt as we barrel towards 2025…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
