More LEGO Mario Kart 2025 images revealed

More images of the LEGO Mario Kart sets due for release in 2025 give a better idea of the play possibilities in the new wave.

German retailer Lucky Bricks has published listings with some more detailed pictures, including images of the box. Those shots have offered a better idea of what interactive features are available in the sets, all six of which are due for release on January 1, 2024. In particular, the LEGO Group is clearly encouraging switching out characters on different vehicles, centred around the starter pack tria of Mario, Luigi, and Peach.

Until then, read on for a better idea of what to expect from the new sub-collection of LEGO Super Mario.

72031 Yoshi Bike is one of the smaller sets of the wave and the pictures demonstrate how red heels can be shot from the back of the bike. Blue Yoshi has also been switched out with Green Yoshi and Mario, highlighting the compatibility of the sets across the theme.

72032 Standard Kart

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 174 Release date: January 1, 2025

The photos for 72032 Standard Kart display the vehicle both with and without its kite, as well as demonstrating the studs where you can ‘hold’ weapons like bananas and shells, ready to fire them. There’s also a small short at Mario on the Standard Kart, perhaps the most common combination when you think of Mario Kart imagery.

Jumping up a gear in terms of both size and price, 72033 Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo features Donkey Kong’s iconic vehicle, complete with red and green shells to throw at a target. The new photos also demonstrate how Donkey Kong can hold on to the rear bar, seemingly chasing down anyone who stills his vehicle, making for a fun play or display opportunity.

The first set to feature two vehicles is perfect for Balloon Battle in 72034 Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi, with both karts able to fire shells at brick-built balloons. The box also demonstrates how Baby Luigi and Baby Mario can hold the balloons, driving around with them just like in the digital version.

72035 Toad’s Garage

72035 Toad’s Garage is where you go to swap out parts of your cars, thanks to the tireless efforts of the two blue-capped Toads. Some of the options available to you are pictured on the back of the box, as pictured above.

72036 Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set
