More rumoured details on LEGO Marvel 2024 summer wave

Rumoured details for LEGO Marvel’s summer wave for 2024 include minifigure line-ups, new set names, and fresh piece counts – and much more.

Ever since the beginning of 2024, rumours have been flying about LEGO Marvel’s summer wave for this year. Now, thanks to rumours originally posted by reliable Instagram user brick_clicker and relayed by itavixbrix, we now have some altered set names as well as plenty more rumoured details about the upcoming wave. The sets largely span Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Guardians of the Galaxy, and Thor: Ragnarok, rather than the more recent MCU titles.

Read on for more details on the LEGO Marvel 2024 summer wave, with a full summary at the bottom of the page.

76286 The Milano

More rumoured details of 76286 The Milano have surfaced, echoing earlier reports of the set’s minifigure line-up of Star-Lord, Drax (in grey), Gamora, Rocket, and Baby Groot (now believed to be a moulded piece rather than a minifigure). The ship itself is also believed to include a display stand and a full interior that can fit all of the Guardians inside.

76287 Iron Man vs Hulk

Image: Marvel Studios / Disney

We now have a name for this LEGO Marvel 4+ set: 76287 Iron Man vs Hulk. Presumably, this set, rumoured to be 68 pieces, will depict the showdown between Iron Man, Veronica, and the Hulk in Age of Ultron, but on a small, playset scale. With that piece count, we can likely expect two buildable figures, without much scene building or accessories.

76288 Iron Legion Battlepack

Image: Marvel Studios / Disney

We already had a name for 76288 Iron Legion Battlepack but now brick_clicker reports more potential details for the battle pack, believed to include four minifigures: Iron Man, a Hydra agent, and two Iron Legion suits. Alongside the minifigures, it’s believed to include a small brick-built Hydra base, kitted out with shooters. This could be a recreation of the Hydra base in Sokovia, the only spot where the Iron Legion are shown going up against Hydra.

76289 Surtur Battle

Moving away from Age of Ultron, 76289 Surtur Battle was originally attached to the set number 76288. Not many details are yet circling about this set, but with a rumoured price of $24.99, it’s likely not going to be overly detailed and might be more suited to play than display.

76290 Avengers vs Loki & Leviathan

With a newly rumoured piece count of 347 pieces and a full potential set name, 76290 Avengers vs Loki & Leviathan is believed to include five characters, including minifigure versions of Captain America, Black Widow, Loki, and a Chitauri, along with a big-fig Hulk. The main build will make up the Leviathan itself, the enormous whale-like creatures that attacked New York, acting like motherships for the invading Chitauri. Supposedly, this build will be similar to the one included in 76269 Avengers Tower.

76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron

Image: Marvel Studios / Disney

Now rumoured to include 613 pieces and with a slightly tweaked name of 76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron, this LEGO Marvel set is fairly easy to imagine from the name. The rumoured price of $109.99 puts it in line with 76266 Endgame Final Battle – only focused on Avengers: Age of Ultron, of course.

There are believed to be nine characters, including a big-fig Hulk and minifigures of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor (complete with a new plastic cape), Black Widow, Hawkeye, and three Hydra agents. The build itself should feature a Jeep and a snowy landscape modular build that can apparently be reconfigured for play and display. brick_clickers also notes that 76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron will not focus on the final showdown with Ultron, despite earlier rumoured reports. The snowy backdrop and lack of Ultron himself suggests it will focus on the opening action sequence of the film.

Having ‘The Avengers Assemble’ ahead of the colon could suggest a new sub-theme of a sub-theme could be on the way, focusing on Avengers battle scenes, but until we get more sets with that name configuration, it’s hard to say.

76293 Spider-Man Advent Calendar

This year’s LEGO Marvel calendar appears to focus on one character and his franchise in particular, if the rumoured set name of 76293 Spider-Man Advent Calendar is anything to go by. Minifigures included are believed to be Spider-Man (naturally), Ghost Spider, Venom, Miles Morales, and the Green Goblin. It should also feature an exclusive snowman Spider-Ham head for a snowman build, although not a full minifigure of the alternative universe Spidey.

76295 Midiscale Helicarrier

Only a minor change for the set name of 76295 Midiscale Helicarrier, switching the two words around. Other than that, not much more is known about 76295 Midiscale Helicarrier but there are perhaps some lessons to be learned from the newly-released trio of LEGO Star Wars midiscale sets.

76297 Dancing Groot

Image: Marvel Studios / Disney

Groot has proven to be a popular character to recreate in the world of LEGO Marvel, with various iterations, including a potted LEGO BrickHeadz build that just came out this year. For a while, we’ve heard that the LEGO Marvel team could be planning another buildable Groot: 76297 Dancing Groot, now rumoured to have 459 pieces and cost $59.99.

As the name would suggest, 76297 Dancing Groot should be able to dance, thanks to a spinning handle at the back of the pot. It’s also believed to include detachable headphones for the brick-built Groot to groove along to.

Here’s an updated summary of every LEGO Marvel set confirmed and rumoured for 2024. Bear in mind that none of these rumours are 100% confirmed until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
