Mystery festive LEGO Insiders item spotted online
A mystery LEGO product with a festive name has been spotted online, seemingly for a future LEGO Insiders reward or GWP.
A new document listed on the LEGO Group’s Product Certification Page suggests that a new festive GWP or LEGO Insiders Rewards is on the way. Listed under the name 5009027 Holiday Train Snow Globe, there are few other details to go on, such as a piece count or release date, that could offer a clearer idea of what to expect.
The name is at the very least clearly festive, suggesting we’ll get some kind of build that depicts a holiday train in a snow globe. We’ve had a LEGO snowglobe before, in the now-retired 40223 Snowglobe. That seasonal set was only available for a three-month span back in 2016 but could offer an idea of what to expect this time around.
The set number of 5009027 Holiday Train Snow Globe means that the upcoming product is likely a LEGO Insiders Reward or a GWP. Either is likely, seeing as the LEGO Group usually releases both festive gifts-with-purchase and freebies in the Rewards Centre. For example, last year we had not one but two holiday-themed GWPs, 40603 Wintertime Carriage Ride and 40604 Christmas Decor Set.
We’ll have to wait and see what form 5009027 Holiday Train Snow Globe will take, with a reveal likely to come before the end of the year.
