New LEGO Marvel Disney+ special revealed at Comic-Con

Revealing a LEGO Marvel Avengers Disney+ special is becoming a San Diego Comic-Con tradition as another was first shown over the weekend.

A LEGO Marvel Disney+ special was also initially revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, but this time we have a poster teasing the included characters. Parks and Cons on X (formerly Twitter) shared during the event a poster they received that teases the new special, titled LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red Mission Demolition.

We can infer that this is a special being teased on the poster thanks to the included release date of October 18 and the Disney+ logo. That release date isn’t too far from that of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy on September 13.

The poster features many familiar minifigures but Vision sports a new comic-inspired design. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be in any future physical sets though as there have been many non-physical minifigures in the LEGO Marvel specials.

Demolition Man is also new and appears to be the focus of the story. The character at the top of the poster is new for LEGO Marvel and it could be Terrax, who was a Herald of Galactus that can manipulate the ground, including entire planets.

This special releases on October 18 according to the poster given away at San Diego Comic-Con but first, the highly anticipated LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy special is coming to Disney+ on September 13.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
