New Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine trailer out now

The latest trailer for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine offers a better look at the film’s villain, as well as hinting at who the new Wolverine is.

Another trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine has arrived online, showcasing much more of the film than the first trailer. Those with doubts that the new movie would be not safe for work should wonder no more after watching this trailer as it is suitably full of profanities and other mature mentions. As stated in the footage, only one thing appears to have been off-limits (but it’s still included in the trailer).

For Marel Cinematic Universe enthusiasts, the trailer offers a better look at the film’s villain – Cassandra Nova, who is Charles Xavier’s twin in the comics and is being portrayed by Emma Corrin.

The trailer focuses mostly on Wolverine, rather than Deadpool as was the case in the initial trailer. This Wolverine appears to be an entirely new variant not seen in previous movies and one who hasn’t been entirely successful as a superhero.

The classic-inspired outfit is losing its sleeves at some point in the movie, oddly matching the first Wolverine LEGO minifigure in 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown, which just so happens to include the only Deadpool minifigure, spotted by tetratasm on X (formerly Twitter).

As well as this, the appearance lines up, though with some more differences, with the current Wolverine minifigure inspired by X-Men ’97. It’s currently available in 76281 X-Men X-Jet and as a brick-built figure in 76257 Wolverine Construction Figure.

Deadpool & Wolverine releases on July 26 as this year’s only Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
