Our prediction for the next LEGO The Lord of the Rings set
We’ve had two LEGO The Lord of the Rings sets, yes, but what about third LEGO The Lord of the Rings set? We have some thoughts about what could be in store.
For a fantasy world as rich and lore-deep as the Lord of the Rings, there are virtually infinite possibilities for what future LEGO sets could depict. From the Misty Mountains to the magical elven forests, there’s enough fodder for more enormous display sets to rival 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr and more compact play-focused sets like those from the dedicated and now retired LEGO The Lord of the Rings theme.
Of course, there’s no way of knowing for sure what’s coming up next – but we’ve been digging into some clues hidden within 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr itself, as well as returning to some of the interview time we had with the LEGO designers behind the Icons set while we were in Billund.
Those snippets of evidence have come together and we reckon we have a pretty good bet for what’s next. Get your red string and a corkboard and join Matthew for a video uncovering the future of brick-built Middle-earth…
