Results of first LEGO Ideas 2023 review due ‘very soon’
The LEGO Ideas team has revealed that the results of the first review of 2023 are being worked on and may be announced soon.
The third LEGO Ideas review of 2023 is currently in full swing, with nearly 30 fan-made submissions in the running. The winning designs will most likely be revealed at some point in January 2024, although that date could change considering we still haven’t had the results from the first review of this year.
Over 60 original builds made it into the first LEGO Ideas review of 2023, with each of the fan submissions managing to gain an impressive 10,000 supporters. Details of which of the models will ultimately become physical LEGO sets were originally supposed to have been announced ‘in the fall of 2023‘, but there’s been no word so far regarding who may have won from that line-up of creations.
However, that may all be about to change as the LEGO Ideas team has confirmed that the results of the first review of 2023 are incoming and could be unveiled shortly. An official LEGO Ideas blog posting regarding the recently-revealed 21345 Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera includes a comment from the team with an update on that stage of the review process.
Hasan Jensen from the LEGO Ideas team responded to a question regarding an update on the results, giving a rough idea of when they might be available. ‘We’re working on the last details,” said Hasan, “and hope to have it out very soon. Stay tuned!”
The reply would seem to suggest the delayed results for the review could be incoming any day now, although no specific timeframe has been given. For now though, take another look at all of the fan-made models competing in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2023 and we’ll let you know as soon as the winners have been announced.
