Rumoured LEGO Harry Potter Malfoy Manor set could be a late arrival
LEGO Harry Potter is rumoured to be getting a Malfoy Manor model early next year, but it may be a late arrival as one was planned at some point.
Recent rumours for LEGO Harry Potter from BrickTap via itavix_bricks on Instagram posit that a range of LEGO Harry Potter sets is on the way in 2025, among which is said to be our first-ever rendition of the Malfoys’ manor home.
As documented by Candace Flynn on YouTube, the LEGO Harry Potter: Building the Magical World book from June 2011 features a short section featuring images from behind the scenes of the LEGO Harry Potter design team from the theme’s run between 2010 and 2011.
These pages feature concept art for what appears to be a planned set based on Malfoy Manor that never came to be. It features a library, a fireplace and an organ as well as five minifigures.
Mic Mac on Flickr has devised a clearer depiction of this concept art and later in the Hogwarts Moments set style to show it could be adapted into different concepts. Should the rumour of 76453 Malfoy Manor be accurate, we could see this old concept art reused or the reported 2025 model could take on an entirely different form.
Either way, while it would be the first officially-released Malfoy Manor set, in another timeline it might not have been. Given that it’s been over a decade since this concept art was created, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the rumoured 2025 model look much different compared to it too.
