Six LEGO sets to look out for during LEGO Insiders Days

LEGO Insiders Days are about to begin (for most of the world) and rumoured deals might inspire you to keep your eye on a few specific sets.

LEGO Insiders Days start tomorrow or midnight in your local time zone and run until July 20. It’s started over in Australia though, offering an idea of what the rest of us can expect when it starts. Part of the deals live in Australia include a huge sale on dozens of models. Pair that with free gifts and double points and it could be a great opportunity to pick up some retiring sets.

While the exact contents of the sale (or the existence of one during the event worldwide) have yet to be confirmed, we are expecting some LEGO sets to retire at the end of this month, and one just sold out for good earlier today. There are also some that have a bit longer on shelves but are still scheduled to retire at the end of the year as tracked on our dedicated page.

With that in mind, we’ve picked out six LEGO models retiring at the end of July and some towards the end of the year that you might want to consider picking up during LEGO Insiders Days. These include exclusive sets, retiring models and builds that might be on sale during the event.

6 – 76388 Hogsmeade Village Visit

76388 Hogsmeade Village Visit is the other LEGO Harry Potter set expected to retire at the end of July but unlike 75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower, it’s not yet on sale or marked as such on LEGO.com.

Just in case, you might want to grab the rare Hogsmeade iteration in the event that it suddenly sells out. It’s also home to many exclusive minifigures including a golden version of Ron Weasley for LEGO Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary.

5 – 21339 BTS Dynamite

21339 BTS Dynamite is a unique LEGO Ideas model representing the K-Pop icons known as BTS. The seven exclusive minifigures with fashionable prints are just a small part of the set’s appeal.

While not everywhere has seen sales on this set, Australia is currently offering it for 40% off during LEGO Insiders Days. Here’s hoping the rest of us see a similar discount.

4 – 76210 Hulkbuster

Also on sale in Australia during LEGO Insiders Days is 76210 Hulkbuster and as much as the massive LEGO Marvel might not be to everyone’s tastes, a custom version of the build may be much more appealing.

Either way, keep in mind that the set is expected to retire at the end of 2024, whether you opt for the base build or the custom version.

3 – 10303 Loop Coaster

10303 Loop Coaster isn’t commonly available outside of the LEGO Group’s retail bubble and as such, major discounts on it aren’t entirely common either.

Double Points are rumoured for LEGO Insiders Days and are currently live in Australia, meaning a 10% discount on the huge Fairground Collection set may just be on the horizon.

2 – 71425 Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart Ride

71425 Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart Ride is one of a few LEGO Super Mario Donkey Kong creations currently scheduled to retire at the end of July. including a pair of iconic characters that Nintendo enthusiasts may want to consider picking up.

Both Diddy and Funky Kong are exclusive to this set and there are plenty of references to the Donkey Kong series to appreciate. It’s also currently on sale on LEGO.com and hopefully, that will continue into LEGO Insiders Days.

1 – 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens

With the recent tease of news for NINJAGO’s 15th anniversary coming soon, the last remaining model from the 10th-anniversary wave is retiring later this year and it’s an essential part of the colossal NINJAGO City collection.

71741 NINJAGO City Gardens has plenty of appeal for NINJAGO enthusiasts from its memorial statue of Zane to its cast of rare or exclusive characters and even some Easter eggs to legacy LEGO themes. At £299.99/$349.99/€349.99, it’s also almost certain to qualify for every gift-with-purchase offered.

It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
