Smyths Toys announces LEGO Live online event

UK retailer Smyths Toys will be hosting an upcoming LEGO Live online event next week, with amazing prizes up for grabs.

Smyths Toys Superstores in the UK regularly host LEGO make and takes, give away free polybags or go all out with their Big LEGO Weekender promotions. Now the retailer has announced details of an upcoming online event that’s due to take place in just a few days’ time.

LEGO Live will be kicking off on July 1, 2024 from 6pm BST, with a Smyths Toys social media post promising, “a world of creativity and fun.” Exactly just what that might entail has yet to be revealed, although previous events have featured product videos, designer interviews and giveaways.

The latter is certainly confirmed to be happening next week, with the official Smyths Toys Instagram post stating that those watching the LEGO Live event will be in with a chance to, “win amazing prizes.” There’s currently no word on what the freebies might be or how those watching the video feed will be able to take part in any competitions, but we’re assuming all will be made clear before next Monday.

As LEGO Live is an online event, it’s looking unlikely that any physical polybags or make and take models will actually be available in Smyths Toys Superstores, although a follow-up announcement still has time to come through before then.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for LEGO Live when it starts on July 1 and will let you know if anything of note is revealed during the Smyths Toys online event.

There’s no link just yet, just to keep an eye on the Smyths’ social media pages on Monday.

Just to point out, Smyths is an Irish retailer that has stores in the UK also. It’s not a UK retailer.
