Upcoming LEGO City pieces in trial sets arrive on Pick a Brick

Hidden in the 151-piece update for Pick a Brick for September 2024 are some elements that you can’t currently get otherwise.

These pieces are included only in LEGO City sets featuring the smart brick that is currently being trialled in the UK. While the smart brick itself is – unsurprisingly – not available on Pick a Brick, you can collect other elements from the three upcoming LEGO City sets now.

This might suggest that they are coming to shelves widely soon, but nothing has been officially confirmed. From various minifigure heads to a sand-green crocodile, a surprising amount of the 151 pieces coming to Pick a Brick in the September 2024 selection are from the yet-to-be-released sets.

The upcoming LEGO City smart brick sets are 60691 Jungle Explorer Base Camp, 60692 The Lost Crocodile Temple and 60693 Survivor Island Seaplane. They are currently on trial in the UK alongside the smart brick and are not available for purchase just yet.

Hopefully, this sudden listing of their exclusive elements is a sign that they are launching soon, whether alongside the smart brick or not. At least you don’t have to wait to grab that sand-green crocodile though. You can click here to see what else has just been added to Pick a Brick

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
