WATCH: LEGO Sonic does what Nintendon’t

Watch as we dissect every single new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog summer 2023 set, and in doing so prove that Sonic does what Nintendon’t.

Launching on August 1 alongside dozens of new sets are five dedicated Sonic the Hedgehog products, taking the bones of 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone and translating them into a play-friendly theme built around the LEGO City Stuntz range. We’ve already got our hands on all five of these sets, and have put them through their paces for written reviews right here on Brick Fanatics.

But if you’re totally over the concept of reading and would prefer to watch as we talk through our thoughts on these sets – including where they shine, where they’re a bit duller than expected and where they just don’t work at all – you’ll want to check out our latest YouTube video, in which Matthew offers his verdict on the entire LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog line-up.

Hit play above or head over to our YouTube channel to hear Brick Fanatics’ verdict on this first wave, which consists of 76990 Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge, 76991 Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane, 76992 Amy’s Animal Rescue Island, 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot and 76994 Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
