What is LEGO Ice Planet 2002 for 71046 Series 26 Space?

LEGO Minifigures 71046 Series 26 Space is almost here with minifigures referencing classic themes, including one that you may be unfamiliar with.

We’re just over a week away from the launch of 71046 Series 26 Space, though some boxes have been appearing on shelves already, and those newer to the world of LEGO may be unfamiliar with the likes of Blacktron II, M-Tron and even Ice Planet 2002.

For those who need to get caught up on the history and classic themes of LEGO space, here’s a quick guide to Ice Planet 2002 to get you started.

Ice Planet 2002’s minifigure in 71046 Series 26 Space is the Ice Planet Explorer, featuring a transparent orange chainsaw, bulky armour plating, a unique moulded helmet and a matching penguin robot. Not only is it ready for frigid conditions, but much of the design aligns perfectly with Ice Planet 2002’s classic aesthetic.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
