What’s next for LEGO Marvel in 2024 and beyond?

LEGO Marvel’s sets in 2024 may face some of their biggest challenges yet as high prices and low interest may determine the future of the theme.

Considering recent developments and lower box office returns of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, some of which aren’t entirely under Marvel Studios’ control, interest in Marvel overall appears to be falling. Add to that some high prices in LEGO Marvel and it paints an uncertain picture for the LEGO theme for 2024 and beyond.

All that and more are the latest topics discussed in our new video, available to watch now. Consider subscribing to Brick Fanatics on YouTube for more LEGO news and other types of videos in the future.

Both 76232 The Hoopty and 76281 X-Men X-Jet have comparably cow piece counts with their prices and while price-per-piece isn’t always the best perception of value, receiving around 400 elements for at least £74.99 / $84.99 / €84.99 isn’t quite ideal. While the future of LEGO Marvel has not been officially confirmed, the LEGO Group may already have a solution at play thanks to another 2024 set.

For now, rumour has it that LEGO Marvel’s upcoming efforts in 2024 include a Captain America: Brave New World model.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
