Where could LEGO Star Wars’ new Captain Rex appear next?
Captain Rex from LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is rumoured to return in 2024, but where is another question.
A new rumour from Instagram user tandnbricks states that Captain Rex, presumably the new minifigure from the massive 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, which will currently set you back a £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99, will return in 2024.
That’s all the user reports and this should be taken – as with all rumours – with ample caution until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group. However, it begs the question of exactly where the clone captain could turn up next, especially with this level of detail or some parts removed to keep some exclusivity to 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser.
One option could be to include the new Captain Rex minifigure in a LEGO Star Wars set based on The Clone Wars or a relevant part of the prequel trilogy, similar to 75337 AT-TE Walker, or a minifigure-scale depiction of the Republic Gunship, borrowing elements of its design from 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship.
However, there could be a less obvious opportunity for Captain Rex’s inclusion in a LEGO set – another Ahsoka model. We’re about to mention spoilers for the Ahsoka series.
Shadow Warrior from the Disney+ series sees Ahsoka journey through moments of her life, including a scene from the Clone Wars with Captain Rex and Anakin Skywalker.
While much of the scene was not clearly visible, some creative thinking could turn a new Republic Gunship or AT-TE into a fourth Ahsoka set and offer the perfect excuse to include the new Captain Rex from 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser.
