Who could be in the rumoured LEGO Marvel Spider-Verse set?

The rumoured 2025 LEGO Marvel Spider-Verse set might only have a few minifigures despite the many characters we’d love to see from the movie.

From Miles Morales to Pavitr Prabhakar, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse features many interesting characters that could make for some interesting minifigures but so far, there are no LEGO sets based on the animated movie.

That’s rumoured to change next year though by Instagram user brick-clicker with 76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs The Spot. Note that this report features spoilers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs The Spot is rumoured to cost $39.99 and be released in January 2025. There’s no word on the piece count or number of minifigures, though we can look at officially launched Marvel models to gauge what to expect.

At $34.99 to $37.99, 76213 King Namor’s Throne Room, 76219 Spider-Man & Green Goblin Mech Battle and 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle include three minifigures to each.

Assuming that these $34.99 to $37.99 builds are a sign of what to expect from the rumoured 76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs The Spot, there could be room for three minifigures in the model.

It seems likely from the reported name that Miles Morales and The Spot will take up two of those slots unless The Spot is brick-built though that hopefully wouldn’t be the case.

Looking at the main characters in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in scenes that feature The Spot, it could be inspired by the battle in Mumbattan or Miles’ first encounter with The Spot in the New York bodega. The latter scene would likely only feature the two characters and the scenery might not make for the most exciting model. Instead, the Mumbattan battle may be the better pick.

The most likely contenders from the Mumbattan scene for the other potential minifigures in the rumoured set would be Pavitr Prabhakar, Gwen Stacy and Hobie Brown.

Gwen has a non-Spider-Verse minifigure currently available in 76279 Spider-Man Race Car & Venom Green Goblin but her connection to Miles might make her the clearest choice for a Spider-Verse set. It could still be a chance for a unique iteration of the character based specifically on the film though.

Hobie and Pavitr would be the more enticing options as completely new characters for LEGO Marvel, as much as capturing Hobie’s unique effects would be difficult in minifigure form. It’s also possible that the budget for the rumoured 76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs The Spot only has room for the two named characters.

We shall have to see what comes of this rumour and whether or not it’s accurate, as well as whether it’s the only LEGO Spider-Verse set we’ll see should the door be open for one in the first place in 2025. Take all reported details with caution in case anything turns out to be false but there’s at least one thing a set would need.
