Wimbledon champion Krejcikova reveals which LEGO sets she builds during downtime
The newly crowned Wimbledon Women’s Singles Champion Barbora Krejcikova has revealed which LEGO sets she has built when not on Centre Court.
The women’s final at Wimbledon on July 13 saw Barbora Krejcikova take home the first-place trophy. Just a few days before, rainy weather in Wimbledon meant she chatted with fans on X, answering questions while waiting for play to start again. One fan jokingly asked whether she needed to travel with an extra suitcase for all her LEGO sets, to which Krejcikova responded that all the Wimbledon rain delays might mean she’d need to.
This isn’t the first time that Krejcikova has referenced her love of LEGO and her team even gifted her some LEGO sets during Wimbledon to keep her relaxed and focused when not on court. Speaking in a press conference about the Wimbledon semi-final, the Czech tennis player revealed which sets have been keeping her occupied recently.
“I like to do a lot of LEGO Architecture,” she said. “I think I did 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy a couple of weeks ago. I’m a fan of Harry Potter, so I did a couple LEGO Harry Potter sets, like 76421 Dobby the House-Elf.”
At over 3,000 pieces, Krejcikova will certainly need a heavy-duty suitcase to bring a completed 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy, even if 76421 Dobby the House-Elf can be tucked away in hand luggage. Here’s hoping she can find a suitable LEGO set to celebrate her Wimbledon win with.
