Every LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle 2024 set displayed together

Coming up to the halfway point of the year, here’s a look at how every LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set released in 2024 looks side by side.

We’ve previously seen how a few LEGO Harry Potter sets look next to one another back in May but now, a few months on, LEGO YouTuber HollyOnFilm has offered a look at how all the related LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle sets shape up side by side. In 2024, the LEGO Harry Potter team started fresh on a new version of a brick-built wizarding school, at minifigure scale and with a new level of detail we’ve not yet seen.

The centrepiece is the newly launched 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall, the largest and most expensive of them all at £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 for 1,732 pieces. The other four sets arrange neatly around 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall, with 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse clipping directly onto the larger set and 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class sliding smoothly into the dungeons.

The other two sets don’t connect quite as smoothly – but that’s explained away within the universe, seeing as both 76430 Hogwarts Castle Owlery and 76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit don’t actually connect to the main school. They are both separate buildings, with Hagrid’s home being tucked away in the grounds and the owlery standing on its own independent cliff, offering a peaceful home to the school’s owls.

It does highlight that these are perhaps some strange choices to start with. If you want to start building up this version of Hogwarts Castle, you need to start with two sets that will essentially stand on their own, making a display somewhat disjointed. However, the flipside of that very flaw is also a benefit, in that every one of these LEGO Harry Potter sets released this year can work on their own. That offers greater flexibility and less of a demand to buy all the sets at once – or at all.

You could easily decide that the only part of this new version of Hogwarts Castle you want to own is 76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit (which we deemed one of the best of the bunch in our own review), and your display won’t look like it’s missing a section. Compare that to, for example, 76413 Hogwarts: Room of Requirement, where displaying it alone leaves it looking a little random and out of place.

All in all, this is quite an exciting time to be a LEGO Harry Potter collector, whether you’ve got your eye on one or all of the sets listed above. See how they look side by side in full in Holly’s video, embedded below.
